Influenster Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara | Review

Last week I was sent the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara in the mail to review and it couldn't of come at a better time. All my mascaras are either lost or all dried up so I was really looking forward to receiving this product.

I have to admit something... I'm not the biggest fan of Revlon. Especially Mascaras. I find them flaky and they don't add that extra oompf to eyelashes. Even though I've had negative experiences with the brand, I was still open to trying out the new mascara.

There are several claims that the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara makes in the press package that came in the Influenster box. The Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara is suppose to be:

Flake-free, smudge proof wear
I was pleasantly surprised that the formula was truly flake free. One thing that I disliked so much about revlon mascara was that little flakes would fall off and irritate my eyes. It didn't smudge either which is a major plus!

Revlon Mega Lash Brush that deposits formula from the lash line to the tip for a Mega Lash Look
Another thing I don't like about Revlon mascara is the lack of length and volume it gives my eyelashes. Yes, I don't have the longest eyelashes to start with, But I've used many drugstore mascaras that give my eyes a bit of sex appeal. Unfortunately, the Mega Multiplier is like all other Revlon Mascara and lack the oompf.

Water Resistant
This mascara wasn't really water resistant. I took a shower in the evening and didn't touch my face because I wanted to take care of that area after the shower. When I got out, I had mascara smudges underneath my eyes. Steam alone was about to remove the mascara from my eyelashes.

Removes Easily with warm water
How can a mascara be Water Resistant and easily removed with water? That just doesn't make sense to me. But, It does come off easily which is nice if you don't have the time or patience to remove all your makeup. Ladies, we're all guilty of laying in bed with a full face of makeup and instead of getting up to wash our face, we just grab the nearest makeup wipes. This mascara can easily be removed with those bedside table makeup wipes.

Overall, the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara isn't the best mascara out there. Out of 5 stars, I would give it 2 stars. The mascara isn't water resistant like it claimed to be and doesn't give your eyelashes that "Mega Lash Look". I completely forgot I was wearing mascara halfway through the day. One thing I did like was the its shape, I felt like I had a good handle of it when applying the mascara to my eyelashes. I also love the solution. It may sounds weird but I found it almost hydrating to my eyelashes. I Think Revlon is moving in the right direction and I am still open to trying out new products from them in the future!
