The Perfect Post-workout Smoothie

Between the churros and the buffalo Wild Wings hot wings, I ate so much during my vacation, I actually couldn’t wait to come home and get back to a healthy diet.  A major go-to has been this green smoothie. It's a great breakfast and post-workout drink. Here is what you’ll need to make it:

2 handfuls of Spinach
1 Banana
1 inch piece of ginger
1 cup of frozen pineapple pieces
½  cup of coconut water
½  cup of almond milk
1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds

Mix all the ingredients in a blender until it's smooth and you have yourself a delicious smoothie. This drink is great to have after a workout because of the Banana. Bananas are filled with potassium, calcium and sodium which are important for muscular energy. A great tip that I’ve started doing was freezing some of the ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Not only has it made the smoothie process go by so much faster, its also a great way of keeping the spinach and bananas from going bad.
